Anatoly Linevich discussed the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus with the staff of the Begomlsky Forestry.

Presidential Aide – Inspector for Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich discussed the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus with the staff of the state forestry institution "Begomlsky Leskhoz". The meeting was held on December 31 with the participation of the Chairman of the Dokshitsky District Executive Committee Oleg Kovalenok.

– Let's talk about our future, – Anatoly Linevich emphasized the importance of the topic at the beginning of the conversation. – The need for constitutional changes is dictated by the demands of the times – the dynamics of socio-political and economic processes. The issue of the possibility of amending the Basic Law was raised by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko back in 2016, when addressing the new composition of the National Assembly. It is significant that the proposals made by citizens during the dialogue platforms were taken into account when preparing the current draft. And now, before submitting the issue to a referendum, each of you can voice your opinion, send proposals to the National Center for Legal Information.

Anatoly Konstantinovich dwelled on the main changes and additions to the draft.

He emotionally commented on the addition regarding the preservation of historical truth and memory of the heroic feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War:

– My generation knows about the genocide from eyewitnesses – grandmothers and grandfathers, but grandchildren need to be told the truth about this tragedy. When you observe how some countries impose the opinion that the Soviet Union, along with Germany, unleashed World War II, you can't call it anything but nonsense. Belarus lost every third person, and preserving the memory of our ancestors is our sacred duty. And at the same time, the draft includes an amendment that the republic excludes military aggression from its territory against other states. The provision on striving for neutrality has been excluded from the proposed version of the Basic Law.

During the discussion of the article on healthcare, Oleg Kovalenok said:

– The state spends huge funds on free medical treatment for people, which became especially noticeable during the pandemic. However, citizens themselves are primarily obliged to take measures to preserve and strengthen their own health. Take, for example, vaccination against coronavirus infection – half of the population in our district is vaccinated, and directly in the forestry enterprise – only a quarter of the staff. There is a clear misunderstanding in this matter. As practice shows, vaccination provides only protection, vaccinated people rarely get sick and are hospitalized.

Labor and economic guarantees, accessibility of education remained unchanged in the draft, emphasized the Aide to the President. But special attention is paid to the upbringing of traditional family values (in the draft, marriage is designated as a union of a woman and a man), support for children, youth, and the elderly.

A whole chapter of the updated Constitution is devoted to the activities of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, which will become the supreme representative body of people's power.

– It will be a stabilizing force between the branches of power, – said Anatoly Linevich. – It will include 1200 delegates from all regions of the country. Among the powers of the assembly, in particular, are the adoption of strategic documents, the introduction of a state of emergency or martial law if necessary, and the resolution of issues of forming the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, and the Central Election Commission.

Anatoly Linevich urged the meeting participants to study the content of the draft Constitution in more detail and discuss it within the family and team, because a modern person needs to know the Basic Law by which the country lives.

Chief Forester Pavel Avlasevich informed the attendees about the socio-economic development indicators of the Begomlsky Forestry. For 11 months of 2021, revenue from sales of products amounted to 22,870 thousand rubles, and export revenue – 4,014 thousand dollars. The President's Aide noted that this is a good level, but it is always necessary to think about prospects – for example, by introducing new wood processing technologies.

During the meeting, the forestry workers asked Anatoly Linevich questions regarding the improvement and development of the urban settlement of Begoml. Their consideration will be under control.

Anatoly Konstantinovich congratulated everyone on the New Year and Christmas holidays, wishing everyone individual health and a healthy atmosphere in the team.

439 people work at the Begomlsky Forestry. The average salary for 11 months of 2021 was 1464 rubles.
