Anatoly Linevich held a reception of citizens in Vitebsk

Presidential Aide – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich held a reception for citizens in Vitebsk.

Who should replace the water heater tank of the heating system in rented housing; how to formalize title documents for acquired premises if part of the building falls within a water protection zone; why an additional pedestrian crossing cannot be arranged, and why a young specialist was unfairly dismissed. These and other issues were raised during the reception, for which applicants from the regional center, Vitebsk, Shumilino, and Lepel districts registered.

Valentina Prokopovna from Lepel appealed with a request to recalculate her utility payments. The woman is convinced that money is illegally withheld from her for garbage removal, which, as she claims, she does not have, since she burns all waste. The pensioner also believes that since 2012, unjustified deductions have been made from her pension.

Anatoly Linevich promised to sort out the situation, noting that paying for housing and communal services is the responsibility of every owner of residential premises.

A collective appeal was addressed by residents of Michurin Street in the regional center. The applicants noted that after the reconstruction of the Polotsk overpass, the pedestrian crossing from Michurin Street to the Polotsk market was moved a considerable distance.

– No one thought about the people, – complained one of the women. – Our district is old, mostly pensioners live here, the distance to the nearest new pedestrian crossing is about a kilometer. Of course, many violate the rules and cross in unauthorized places.

There is a problem that requires study by competent services, noted the Presidential Aide, and gave instructions to thoroughly investigate the situation and conduct a public opinion poll among all residents.

– It must be made convenient for people, – the inspector summarized.

Dmitry Vladimirovich raised the issue of formalizing title documents for premises acquired at auction in the urban-type settlement of Surazh. About a year ago, the man bought a complex of buildings, and later it turned out that part of the building falls within a water protection zone, which caused problems with re-registration.

A resident of the village of Svetly, Vitebsk district, living in rented housing on Shosseynaya Street, applied for the replacement of the heating system water heater in the apartment, which broke down two years ago.

– I have been living in this house for over 40 years, no repairs have been done for a very long time, the roof is leaking, the window frames are rotten, and the rooms are damp, – the villager said. – When the tank broke, I called specialists, the housing and communal services, but they never replaced it.

As explained by Yuri Ragutenok, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Regional Executive Committee, current repairs of the premises are carried out at the expense of the tenant of the rented housing, who is also obliged to ensure the technical maintenance and repair of the intra-apartment electrical and gas equipment. As for the house itself, it is included in the schedule for major repairs next year, and a transition to electric heating is planned.

The problems raised will be taken under control and resolved within the framework of the law, Anatoly Linevich promised.
