Anatoly Wasserman took part in the intellectual games tournament "Euphrosyne of Polotsk Cup" in Polotsk

The battle of intellectuals unfolded on September 8-9 at Polotsk State University. 14 strongest teams from Belarus and Russia gathered here for the international intellectual games tournament "Euphrosyne of Polotsk Cup", including the team of the famous erudite Anatoly Wasserman.

The event was organized by the regional committee of BRSM, the regional council of deputies, and OJSC "ASB Belarusbank".

— The development and support of intellectual abilities of youth have always been an important matter for BRSM, — said Vyacheslav Khrol, acting first secretary of the regional committee of the youth organization. — We are happy to help the younger generation develop and motivate them to conquer new heights.

Each of the teams demonstrated their abilities in "What? Where? When?", "Own Game", and "Brainstorming". The winners of the competition were the participants from St. Petersburg. The first place in "Own Game" was won by the clever minds from Polotsk.

— This tournament was held for the first time and was greatly enjoyed by its participants, — noted Alexey Galkin, chairman of the intellectual club of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center. — Many expressed their desire to join the intellectual battle next year.

A cultural program was organized for the competition participants: a sightseeing tour of the oldest city in Belarus.
