Vladimir Andreichenko notes a significant step forward in the development of the Vitebsk region's agro-industrial complex

Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Vladimir Andreichenko, who oversees the Vitebsk region, notes a significant step forward in the development of the regional agro-industrial complex.

"Given the difficult situation that was developing in the agricultural production of the Vitebsk region, a decree of the President of Belarus on the development of the region's agro-industrial complex was adopted in February of this year. This decree was met with great hopes. But everyone understands perfectly well that behind this decree lies a lot of hard, groundwork. And it is important that the people, the specialists who work, understand these issues well," said Vladimir Andreichenko.

At the same time, he recalled that despite the existing difficulties, the region's agro-industrial complex has achieved a lot in its development over the past decades. "I remember the years 1994-1995. Then we started working practically from scratch. There was old equipment, some was distributed, sold, there was nothing to work with at all. And then a program for the revival and development of the village was developed," noted the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Vladimir Andreichenko pointed out that over the past years, many social standards have been implemented in rural areas, and agro-towns have been created. "Practically in every district, we organized operating rooms and intensive care units, which helped us a lot even now. I believe that the situation in the countryside and in the country as a whole was seriously improved then. The economy was raised from scratch, from its knees. Then development went even further," he said.

"The foundation for good and stable work has been created. The program for the creation of seven integration agro-industrial associations in the Vitebsk region is a serious step forward," concluded Vladimir Andreichenko.
