In the Vitebsk region, RUP "Belpharmatsiya" pharmacies will extend their operating hours by an hour from November 1, Deputy General Director of Vitebsk RUP "Farmatsiya" Tatyana Barai told a BELTA correspondent. From today, all "Belpharmatsiya" pharmacies in the region will extend their operating hours until 10 p.m. Pharmacies located in hospitals and clinics will now operate in accordance with the operating hours of the medical institutions. Proposals to extend the working day have also been sent to pharmacies in the region's district centers. In addition, essential medicines are available 24/7 at pharmacies No. 127 in Vitebsk, No. 77 in Polotsk, No. 158 in Novopolotsk, and No. 26 in Orsha. The decision to extend the operating hours of pharmacies was made in preparation for the upcoming epidemiological season. Pharmacies will return to their usual working hours after the seasonal decline in morbidity. Tatyana Barai noted that the most in-demand antiviral drugs, immunomodulatory agents, medical masks, as well as other medicines are available in sufficient quantities in the "Belpharmatsiya" pharmacy chain. Demand for them remains stable. Monitoring of the availability of medicines is carried out weekly. As reported by the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, the epidemiological situation in the Vitebsk region is currently characterized as stable and controlled. The incidence of ARVI and influenza in September-October is lower than the corresponding level last year. As of November 1, more than 22% of the region's population has been vaccinated against influenza. -0-
