Patriots' art parade, a big "people's workout" with the queen... What surprised Youth Day in Vitebsk?
Holding Youth Day at "Slavyansky Bazaar" in Vitebsk is already a good tradition. The organizer of the youth holiday is the BRSM with the support of the Ministry of Education of Belarus, the directorate of the International Festival of Arts "Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk", as well as the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Today, the Youth Day program started with the art parade "Belarus United!" under the slogan "Unity! Development! Independence!". Accompanied by young participants of the exemplary choreographic ensemble "Veselushki" of the Orsha City Center of Culture "Pobeda", who were marching in step and beating the drum roll, the art parade was led by representatives of the youngest republican public association of the country "Patriots of Belarus" in cars with fluttering flags of Belarus.
The procession was continued by a friendly team of the youth train: BRSM activists – participants and winners of republican festivals, competitions, and sports events. In the column, they carried the State Flag of our country, six by 12 meters square. Spectators were treated to performances and pleasant surprises. For example, everyone could take part in the "People's Exercise" that unfolded right on the temporarily closed roadway. Maria Solovyova – "Queen of Spring of Belarus 2018" – set the tone for the activity.
According to tradition, a patriotic event "Belarus Remembers. We Remember Everyone" was held at the memorial complex in honor of Soviet soldiers-liberators, partisans, and underground fighters. The official opening ceremony of Youth Day was attended by honored guests, including from the Russian Federation. Then, the countdown began for perhaps one of the most anticipated moments of the holiday – the Open-air "Light the Youth Fire". On various creative platforms, everyone found an activity to their liking. For example, on the #BelarusHistorical platform, you can join the reconstruction of the "Zarya" newspaper printing house and even participate in layout on an old printing press.on a drift car. The Center for Board Games and Educational Quizzes #PoznayBelarus invites you to take part in the intellectual drift-tracking "Answer Correctly – and Drive!". For correct answers about the history of your native country, drift-trike rides are guaranteed. At the #BelarusNarodnaya (Belarusian Folk) site, decorated in the style of a traditional Belarusian rural homestead, you can play Belarusian folk games and amusements. Many activities are prepared for the guests of the #BelarusSportivnaya (Belarusian Sporty) site: the Union State Championship "Open Regional Kettlebell Lifting Competitions 'Governor's Cup'", various sports master classes, including workout and basic tricks with a giant ball about two meters in diameter.diameter, as well as table and floor games "Megatwister", "Hands-Legs", "Lasertag".
A part of the celebration will be the grand final of the national festival of youth creativity "Fire of Youth Talents", where the winners of the regional (Minsk city) rounds of the project will compete for the title of the best in the competitions "Fire of Dance", "Fire of Uniqueness". The Youth Day will conclude with a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of various projects, an afterparty, and fireworks.
