Аспирантка ветакадемии представила уникальную разработку на республиканском молодежном проекте «100 идей для Беларуси»

The marathon of regional exhibitions of participants of the republican youth project "100 Ideas for Belarus" continues in the Vitebsk region. Very soon, the names of those who will reach the final of the competition this year will be announced. Among the contenders for victory is an postgraduate student of the Department of Zoology of the Veterinary Academy, Maria Gorolenko (in the photo). Together with her supervisor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Alexander Subbotin, they have developed a unique agent for the sanitation of livestock facilities made from environmentally friendly raw materials. The main goal of the project is to improve the system of preventive measures in cattle keeping.

– We released the first small experimental batch for production about a year ago, – says Maria. – The agent was used to treat premises at the SPC "Olgovskoye". Unfortunately, without further funding, its promotion stopped then. Abroad, similar research is actively conducted and implemented in production. In Belarus, there are no analogues of an agent that not only kills microbes and reduces humidity in livestock premises, but also has a detrimental effect on parasite larvae. Therefore, there is no doubt that our developments are relevant and in demand.

Another representative of the Veterinary Academy, Associate Professor of the Department of Parasitology, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Vitaly Mironenko, has developed an artificial intelligence system for diagnosing parasites, which has made it possible to carry out their high-precision identification. The author of the project has already received two patents in Belarus and Ukraine.

For further research, implementation and promotion of developments into production, financial assistance from sponsors is required.
