The atmospheric front of cyclone "Haver" has reached the southeast of the Vitebsk region, a BELTA correspondent was informed by the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.

By 3 PM, a snowstorm began to intensify in the regional center. Forecasters explained that a similar unfavorable weather situation has developed in the Orsha, Dokshytsy, and Horadok districts. The wind speed here reaches 16-17 meters per second, with heavy snowfall, while in the rest of the Vitebsk region, the wind speed does not exceed 14 meters per second, with moderate snowfall. According to forecasts, the adverse weather will continue until the evening of March 16.

"Although such weather is more characteristic of February, no weather records have been broken yet," the forecasters stated.

In the zone of the atmospheric front, visibility on the roads due to snowfall is 400-500 m.
