A. Tozik considers it necessary to develop domestic tourism in Belarus

April 8, Novopolotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Domestic tourism in Belarus should be developed in the same way as outbound tourism. This point of view was expressed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Expert and Coordination Council for Tourism under the Council of Ministers Anatoly Tozik. He chaired the plenary session of the IESCC today, which was held in Novopolotsk, reports BELTA correspondent. The Deputy Prime Minister noted with regret that Belarusians sometimes do not know the sights of their country. "Tourism should foster an understanding that Belarus is not a young state, its history is no poorer than the history of neighboring countries and spans more than a thousand years. We need to talk about this," said Anatoly Tozik. Belarus does not need to compete with other countries in terms of attractions like medieval castles, the Deputy Prime Minister noted. It has magnificent nature, social stability, villages with preserved ways of life, and wonderful people. All this can make the country attractive for international tourism. -0-
