Motorists from four countries will compete in "Vitebsk Wilds-2013"

Автомобилисты из четырех стран посоревнуются в "Витебских дебрях-2013"

The Republican GPS orienteering competition "Vitebskiye Debri-2013" will bring together motorists from four countries, the event organizers informed a BELTA correspondent.

The competition will take place on April 6 in the Vitebsk region. The start-finish point is near the village of Khomishchevo. Over thirty vehicles will compete for victory. The total number of participants and guests is about 150 people from all corners of Belarus, as well as Russia, Ukraine, and Lithuania. In the competitive part, contestants will perform in four categories depending on the driver's training and the vehicle's configuration. The time limit for completing the course is 7 hours. This standard includes finding and capturing the maximum number of "points" issued immediately before the start. The complexity lies in the fact that the tasks are accompanied by serious natural obstacles - fallen trees, impassable thickets, snow, mud, swamps, and rough terrain.

Winners in each category will be awarded diplomas and prizes. The event is organized by the Belarusian off-road "Jeep-club" in conjunction with the Vitebsk club "Severny Rubezh".
