Banks of Belarus will change the buying and selling rates of currency for individuals from September 14
September 14, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Banks of Belarus will change the purchase and sale rates of currency for individuals from September 14. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the information department of the National Bank.
"In order to transition to balanced functioning of the cash currency market and in connection with the opening of an additional trading session at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange OJSC, the National Bank has recommended that banks, when setting exchange rates for foreign currencies for currency exchange transactions involving individuals, be guided by the rates established at the end of the additional trading session," the National Bank noted. In other words, after the first trades in the additional session on September 14, banks will change the previously set exchange rates for the purchase and sale of foreign currencies.
At the same time, banks need to carry out organizational and technical measures for the purchase and delivery of cash foreign currency. "Given this circumstance, at the initial stage, banks will sell cash foreign currency to individuals within the limits of the currency purchased from them and, if possible, replenish exchange offices (cash desks) with available cash foreign currency," the National Bank explained.-0-
