Basketball players of "Osipovichi" and Vitebsk "Lokomotiv" won at the start of the playoffs of the Belarusian Championship

March 31, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. The starting playoff matches of the Belarusian Championship among men's teams have taken place, BelTA correspondent reports. In the first quarterfinal match, "Osipovichi" had no problems at home against Mogilev's "Borisphen" - 94:72 (35:11, 16:24, 22:21, 21:16). However, in Gomel, the home team "Sozh" disappointed their fans, losing to Vitebsk's "Lokomotiv-KiS" with a score of 68:71 (30:24, 10:16, 19:15, 9:16). The return matches of the quarterfinal series (best of three) will be held on April 2 in Mogilev and Vitebsk. If the scores in the series are tied after these matches, the decisive games for reaching the semifinals will take place on April 6 in Osipovichi and Gomel. The winners of the quarterfinals will continue to compete for championship medals along with the two best teams of the regular season - "Minsk-2006" and "Grodno-93". In the Belarusian Women's Championship, semifinal series matches (best of three) have been played, in which, as expected, the season leaders achieved convincing victories. "Minsk-2006" basketball players twice defeated Gomel's "Sozh" at home - 100:47 and 87:67. The capital's "Horizont" also defeated Grodno's "Olimpia" on their home court - 80:59 and 80:72.
