Baby boom recorded in Orsha in October
A baby boom was recorded in Orsha in October this year, reported the chief physician of the city maternity hospital, Inna Krachek.
A total of 1267 babies were born at the Orsha maternity hospital since the beginning of the year, but an unusual surge in fertility occurred precisely in October, when obstetricians delivered 50 babies in a week, compared to the usual workload of 30-35. Moreover, among the newborns there are 4 sets of twins. "In general, many twins are born in Orsha. Last year there were 20, of which 4 were born in May-June. And what is interesting, at that time the campaign "Together for Life" was taking place. This year we already have 14 sets of twins," added Inna Krachek.
By the way, Mother's Day also turned out to be "rich" in births: 9 women became mothers to seven girls and three boys (including one set of twins). Women who gave birth on October 14 will be honored today at an event at the city maternity hospital with the participation of the Mayor of Orsha, the administration, representatives of the Peace Fund and the NGO "Belaya Rus". "In addition to presenting gifts, there will also be a concert by children's groups, as well as a meeting of Orsha youth - college students - with our staff and mothers. After all, young girls will have to become mothers themselves in the future, and it is useful for them to learn more about motherhood, about what happiness it is," concluded the chief physician of the maternity hospital.
