Begoml Forestry invested Br2.4 billion in the modernization of the woodworking shop

March 31, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Begoml Forestry (Dokshitsy district, Vitebsk region) has invested Br2.4 billion in the modernization of its woodworking shop, the director of the forestry, Alexei Prokopov, told a BELTA correspondent. These funds were used to reconstruct the shop and purchase new technological lines for woodworking and auxiliary equipment. A Russian line for sorting timber, a German-made sawing line and a chip production conveyor have already been commissioned. All equipment is computerized and has high technical capabilities, which allows for a significant reduction in raw material consumption per unit of production and the creation of a closed production cycle. In particular, woodworking waste is processed into chips and sawdust, which are then used as fuel for the forestry's boiler house and the district's housing and communal services. The modernization of the woodworking shop is not yet complete. In May, the installation of three drying chambers, each with a lumber loading capacity of 55 cubic meters, will begin. In the second half of the year, it is planned to install a four-sided planing machine for the production of shaped products (floorboards, skirting boards, architraves, etc.), and in the future, to install equipment for pellet production and a wood splicing line. Last year, Begoml Forestry produced products worth Br6.8 billion. Products worth $1.2 million were exported. The profitability of sales was 16.3%. In 2009, thanks to the modernization of the woodworking shop, the production volume is planned to increase by 32% to Br9 billion. -0-
