"Belarus is us." An open dialogue brought together participants of the youth forum held in Vitebsk
By tradition, the dialogue format involves communication between proactive young men and women and invited experts. This time, they were the Assistant to the President – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Pennin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Glushin, Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Alexandra Goncharova, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM Vyacheslav Krol.
The young people were interested in many issues. For example, the opinion was expressed that the Ministry of Education is more focused in its work on schoolchildren and students. But among young workers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and civil servants, there are many capable talented people who could contribute to the country's development with their creative ideas. Karina Pushkareva, First Secretary of the Railway District Committee of the BRSM, raised the issue of creating a so-called agency that would unite absolutely all youth.
Anatoly Linevich noted that the idea is not bad. But, in his opinion, it would be more correct to empower the BRSM with greater authority, to expand the organization's scope of activity so that it helps in the development and implementation of ideas not only for schoolchildren and students. And it should be noted that such work by the BRSM is already underway, it is only necessary to highlight the necessary accents more brightly.
Another question concerned the achievements of Vitebsk region youth in various competitions. For instance, our young people brought home the most awards from the republican project "100 Ideas for Belarus," the Zubko family from the agro-town of Yunki, Postavy district, became the best in the republican project "Master of the Village," and the Vitebsk region team took second place in the republican youth sports festival "Olympia 2020." In this regard, Vyacheslav Khrol was asked how the BRSM is preparing for new competitions. Vyacheslav Vasilievich noted that the secret to preparation and victories is simple: all projects are worked on by teams of true professionals who are not afraid to implement the boldest ideas and, at the same time, rely on the experience and wisdom of past generations.
The open dialogue also addressed the popularization of the country's state symbols. The young people expressed the opinion that it would be wonderful if people could freely display the country's flags on their homes, balconies, on flagpoles on their private properties, and use them in decorating venues and various cultural objects. In this way, the state symbols could move from television screens and official places into the personal space of every person, becoming an integral attribute of daily life and an object of pride.
In the hall where the dialogue took place, there was a collection box for ideas and proposals for the Strategy for the Development of State Youth Policy of the Republic of Belarus until 2030 and initiatives aimed at the constructive movement of Belarus into the future. A QR code for the youth platform "Movement FORWARD" was applied to the collection box. Those who wished left their suggestions and initiatives in the box. All of them will be considered by the BRSM in the near future.
