February 25, Kyiv /Tatsiana Palazhay - BELTA/. Belarus and Poland are capable of resolving any issues in their relations. This was stated today by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting in Kyiv with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, BELTA correspondent reports. And, despite the fact that Poland is a member of the European Union and has its obligations, we have not destroyed a single area of cooperation," the Belarusian leader said. He also added that he was often approached by both Polish businessmen and politicians, and all issues were invariably resolved to the benefit of both sides. "We have many points of contact, and they need to be developed. By doing so, we will solve the problems that we have today. We can do it," the President is convinced. "In our relations, there are issues where we see Poland's sincere interest in Belarus being a strong, powerful, modern, independent state. And this is the main thing. Proceeding from this, we are capable of resolving any issues," Alexander Lukashenko stressed, noting that "these issues have been imposed on us." "Let's move in the right direction. You will not regret it," the head of state assured the Polish side. Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed the Polish side's intention to resolve all misunderstandings in the relations between Belarus and Poland.
