Belarus will complete the corporatization of all state-owned enterprises by 2013

November 4, Minsk / Liliya Krapivina - BELTA /. Belarus will complete the corporatization of all state-owned enterprises by 2013. This was announced today at the Minsk Forum by Natalia Zhernosek, Director of the Fund of State Property of the State Property Committee of Belarus, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to the director of the fund, privatization plans for the next three years have already been developed. During this period, more than 500 enterprises will be corporatized. This year, such a procedure is being completed at three large enterprises, including "Belaruskali," which has already been corporatized. Two enterprises for the transportation of petroleum products - "Gomeltransneft" and the Novopolotsk oil pipeline "Druzhba" - will be corporatized by the end of the year. The corporatization of Belarusian machine-tool building enterprises is also being completed. It is planned to create a machine-tool building holding. Natalia Zhernosek recalled that over the past two years, the largest industrial enterprises - MAZ, BelAZ, Integral, BelOMO - have been corporatized. As a result, all machine-building enterprises in Belarus, except for tractor and agricultural machinery, will be corporatized this year. As for agricultural machinery enterprises, their transformation is planned for 2011-2013. The more than 500 enterprises planned for privatization in 2011-2013 do not include energy and gas supply organizations, which constitute the country's energy security. Thus, practically the entire industrial complex of Belarus will be corporatized, the director of the fund emphasized. She also expressed hope that in the upcoming period, sales transactions will be more successful. -0-
