Belarusian Andrey Kolosov will perform two songs from the repertoire of "Pesniary" at "Slavianski Bazaar-2009"
July 6, Minsk / Ekaterina Sidelova – BELTA /. Belarusian representative at the International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk-2009", which will be held at the XVIII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", Andrei Kolosov will perform two songs from the repertoire of "Pesniary". This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Viktor Gutyro, director of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic.
Andrei Kolosov was prepared by the Belarusian State Ensemble "Pesniary". The artist will perform two songs from the repertoire of the legendary group at the contest: "Verni mne muzyku" and "Kalina". The ensemble will also provide the contestant with costumes for the performance.
"The composition 'Verni mne muzyku' suits Andrei perfectly. In it, the singer reveals himself, and with his charm and performance style, he even resembles Muslim Magomayev. As for the Belarusian-language song 'Kalina', it is also chosen very successfully and reveals the vocal abilities of our contestant in the best possible way," said the director of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic.
Andrei Kolosov is from Gomel, and at one time was a laureate of the "Songs of the Youth of Our Fathers" contest, and received the II prize at the International Festival of Pop Art "Starry Crimea" held in Ukraine. He studied vocals with Elena Kolosova, his mother, after which he became a soloist of the pop-symphony orchestra of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic.
Another graduate of the philharmonic is the contestant from Russia, Dmitry Danilenko, who also studied with Elena Kolosova at one time. "Dmitry Danilenko has a strong character. In addition, his studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory were not in vain, so he can provide good competition to his countryman," shared Viktor Gutyro.
Today, the first rehearsal of the performers took place together with the National Concert Orchestra of Belarus under the direction of People's Artist of Belarus, Professor Mikhail Finberg, accompanied by which the participants will present their numbers.
