Belarusian runner Alina Talai from Orsha won gold at the Belgian Open Championships

Orsha athlete Alina Talay won gold in the 60m hurdles at the Belgian Open Championships.

This was Alina's first official start after recovering from an injury. In September 2018, the athlete underwent knee surgery, but was able to return to training quite quickly and regain good form, the Belarusian Athletics Federation reported.

In Belgium, she proved that she is not without reason considered one of the leaders of the national team, showing a high result – 7.96 seconds. This is the third best time over this distance in Europe. Thus, Alina Talay met the standard required for participation in the continental indoor forum. It will be held from March 1 to 3 in Glasgow (Great Britain).
