Belarusian and Latvian border guards detained a group of violators

June 1, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Belarusian and Latvian border guards have once again detained a group of state border violators, Denis Glebko, assistant chief of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment, told a BELTA correspondent. On the morning of May 31, servicemen of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment received information from their Latvian colleagues about the detention of four border violators in one of the border towns of Latvia - natives of the Caucasus region. During a joint operation, traces were found proving the fact of illegal border crossing. Due to the presence of physical evidence, the violators were handed over to the Belarusian border guards. As Denis Glebko reported, the day before, on May 30, in the same area, servicemen of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment detained the same group of border violators - four citizens of the Caucasus region. It is not excluded that both groups are connected. Currently, the Belarusian side is carrying out the set of measures provided for in such cases, both with regard to the border violators and in searching for persons involved in assisting them in illegal activities. -0-
