A Belarusian-German enterprise for the production of biofuel from rapeseed has been established in the Vitebsk region

April 13, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. German company "Bioenergie-Import-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH" and limited liability company (LLC) "Vitebskiye semena trav" have established a joint limited liability company (JLLC) "Vita-Bio-Energi" in the Vitebsk region. The new enterprise will specialize in rapeseed processing, Viktor Dorozhkin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. The German investor intends to invest about 15 million euros in the creation of the production. These funds will be used to build and equip a small biofuel production plant with modern equipment near the village of Verkhovye. At the first stage, about 20 people will get jobs. It is expected that the new enterprise will produce its first products in 2010. According to Viktor Dorozhkin, the investor has a market for environmentally friendly fuel, and intends to sell the products manufactured in Verkhovye in the European Union countries. -0-
