Belpochta optimizes the postal network
May 6, Minsk /Elena Solonenko - BELTA/. RUE "Belpochta" is optimizing the postal network in Belarus. This was announced today at a press conference by Gennady Demyanenko, Deputy General Director of the enterprise, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Optimization means the following: a number of post offices are being closed, and there is a transition to mobile post offices," said the Deputy General Director. "Belpochta" already has experience in this area. Several mobile post offices are operating in the Gomel and Vitebsk regions, providing all the services that are offered in stationary post offices. In addition, it is planned to introduce mobile post offices in all regions of the country in the near future.
Gennady Demyanenko said that most post offices in Belarus successfully cooperate with banks, insurance companies, mobile and internet operators. To speed up payment transfers, "Belpochta" is transitioning to new technologies, using modern payment processing systems.
In addition, the enterprise is actively developing a network of public internet access points in the regions of the country. "We have a program for the implementation of such points. Several hundred public access points have already been established in many district centers and post offices," he added. -0-
