BelCCI invites Belarusian organizations to participate in the Hannover Industrial Fair

From April 7 to 11, 2014, Hannover (Germany) will host the HANNOVER MESSE 2014 – the world's leading industrial technology exhibition, a global platform for the promotion of industrial technologies, innovations, and investments, covering almost all manufacturing sectors of the economy – from metallurgy and energy to IT solutions and investments.

This year, HANNOVER MESSE 2014 will focus on such areas as IT technologies and industrial automation, energy saving and environmental responsibility, drive systems and control technologies, industrial services and technologies, research and innovation. In addition, following global economic trends, a special role will be assigned to issues of expanding sales markets and attracting foreign investment, which will be considered within the framework of the "Global business & markets" section. This section serves as a platform for information exchange, networking, and providing services for international investment programs.

Global Business & Markets is the foreign economic platform of HANNOVER MESSE. With approximately 5000 visitors, it is the largest European event on internationalization and investment, supported by a number of international associations and organizations. The combination of its own exhibition potential and economic conferences with the participation of high-ranking representatives, seminars, and business networking zones provides companies with access to international business contacts and first-hand information about target markets. Furthermore, the concept offers country representations suitable conditions for presenting their projects and supports them in finding investors.

The events within GlobalBusiness & Markets will focus on export and investment proposals from a number of countries, including the USA, Japan, China, the UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, BRIC countries, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Key themes of the section will include investment in new and sustainable technologies, industrial development initiatives, and industrial innovations (e.g., the "Industry 4.0" project – a high-tech project by the German Government aimed at computerizing the industrial sector), as well as issues of international competitiveness.

The GlobalBusiness & Markets section will be represented by the following categories:

international management consulting; global marketing; financing services; export finance; corporate finance and liquidity management; private equity/venture capital funds; trade and export promotion; business facilitation, enterprise attraction; business alliance consulting and support; international certification and approval of organizations; international chambers of commerce and industry; business information and databases; international risk management; insurance companies/insurance management; patents and copyright – management and information; standardization bodies; transport services; thematic media; international business organizations and associations; government, state, and regional agencies; international business services.

Using the GlobalBusiness & Markets platform, it is possible to attract foreign investors for the implementation of various projects in the fields of high technologies, innovations, and industrial automation, and for the creation of joint ventures. Participation in the fair is partially funded from the state budget of the Republic of Belarus.

Exhibition operator "Belinterexpo" of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, in accordance with Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1186 of 21.12.2013, is the organizer of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus at the Hanover Fair. At the same time, UP "Belinterexpo" acts as the exclusive representative of the exhibition company Deutsche Messe in the Republic of Belarus – the organizer of HANNOVER MESSE 2014.

As part of the preparation of the national exposition, the possibility of organizing a business forum with the participation of representatives of the business circles of the Republic of Belarus and Germany is being explored. It is planned to discuss the possibility of attracting foreign investors to the Republic of Belarus for the implementation of projects in the fields of high technologies, innovations, energy and industrial automation, and the creation of joint ventures.

Currently, the Exhibition Operator "Belinterexpo" of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is accepting applications from Belarusian organizations for participation in the "Global Business & Markets" section, dedicated to expanding sales markets and attracting foreign investment.
