This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the BelCCI, Vasily Romanov. Today, he took part in the regional meeting of BelCCI members in Vitebsk. One of the main tasks of the BelCCI is to promote the expansion of foreign economic ties of domestic business and the entry of Belarusian enterprises into new sales markets. If in 2009 the Chamber established new business contacts with partner organizations of nine countries, then in the first eight months of the current year, the geography of BelCCI cooperation has expanded to six more countries. The Chamber also contributed to bringing the products of some Belarusian enterprises to the markets of these countries. In addition, negotiations and business meetings with representatives of the business circles of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are planned before the end of the year. In the coming days, the first business contacts and negotiations with representatives of the business community of the Republic of the Congo will take place. Business trips of the Belarusian delegation to Brazil and Argentina are also planned. Currently, the BelCCI is developing a development strategy for the organization for 2011, which provides for the intensification of work in this direction, Vasily Romanov added. In total, the BelCCI and its regional branches have concluded more than 850 cooperation agreements with partner organizations of other countries, including more than 90 cooperation agreements through federal chambers and over 120 more agreements of the BelCCI with chambers of regional level. About 1.7 thousand enterprises and organizations are members of the BelCCI, of which about 80% are representatives of private business. In addition, five Chinese companies, two business structures from the European Union countries, and one Russian organization have received the status of BelCCI members. According to international experts, the BelCCI works effectively, so the interest in cooperation with the Chamber from foreign partners is constantly growing, Vasily Romanov added. -0-
