Beshenkovichi and Chashniki districts lead in harvesting pace in the Vitebsk region

Beshankovichy and Chashniki districts lead in grain harvesting rates in the Vitebsk region, as reported by the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee.

The Vitebsk region has begun mass grain harvesting. In the region, 24.5 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been threshed, which is more than 7% of the total area. About 80 thousand tons of grain have been harvested with an average yield of 32.3 centners per hectare. The Beshankovichy and Chashniki districts are leading in harvesting rates, having threshed more than 17% and 16% of the grain acreage, respectively. Agricultural producers in the Glubokoye district have threshed more than 10%. In terms of yield, the best results are demonstrated by the farmers of Orsha (41.8 centners/ha), Verkhnedvinsk (38 centners/ha), and Vitebsk (36.4 centners/ha) districts.
