Without restaurants and limousines, but with entertainment and watching the sunrise – we found out how graduation parties will be held
Buffet – from school cooks
— Applicants in the Vitebsk region, as well as across the country, now have many more opportunities to become students of a priority educational institution through targeted training. Significant preferences are given to the winners of the third and final stages of republican olympiads. In general, there are various ways to get a ticket to adulthood. And how not to get lost in this life and choose the right path, school and gymnasium principals, teachers, and parents will tell in their farewell speeches during the graduation ceremony, — noted Vladimir Bednyakov, Head of the General Education Department of the Main Department of Education of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, as well as famous political, public, sports, and cultural figures, traditionally speak at the celebratory ceremony. Vladimir Bednyakov emphasized that the graduation evening scenarios include an ideological component and focus on historical memory. The main theme is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
Traditionally, graduation ceremonies will be held in their home schools and gymnasiums – no restaurants or drinking establishments. Dishes from the graduation menu will be prepared in the educational institutions' canteens. This is a convenient form of organizing safe, delicious, and inexpensive catering. The preferences and wishes of schoolchildren and their parents are taken into account.
— Upon completion of the entertainment program, the students will go out to the school grounds, the forest park, and the embankment to greet the dawn, — Vladimir Bednyakov emphasized. — And along with them will be the heads of educational institutions, teachers, and parents. This glorious tradition is maintained in almost all schools and gymnasiums.
Poems for the Teacher
At Orekhovskaya Secondary School named after Yu. V. Smirnov in the Orsha district, there is perhaps the most interesting tradition. It consists in graduates writing poems and creating memorable crafts specifically for each teacher. The students actively participate in preparing the script for the graduation party under the guidance of the teacher-organizer.
— We also involve tenth-graders, — says the school principal Anna Yazykova. — They are successors to the traditions. The solemn part lasts about two hours, featuring congratulations from guests, teachers, and the class teacher, as well as parting words. We invite the chairman of the town settlement executive committee, heads of enterprises, and a representative of the Orsha District Executive Committee. After the presentation of diplomas and centralized examination certificates, the students will have a photo session, an entertainment part, and a festive meal in the school canteen prepared by local chefs.
Together with teachers and parents, the students greet the dawn in the schoolyard and release balloons with wishes. Each of the eleventh-graders at the Orekhovo school has decided on their future profession. They are pursuing agricultural, pedagogical, legal, and even aviation specialties. They are focused only on success, and their parents and teachers will always support them.
A Procession Down the Main Street
A wonderful tradition of holding graduation parties has developed at Rossonskaya Secondary School named after P. M. Masherov. Before the celebration begins, the students gather in the schoolyard, listen to the director's parting words, sing the anthem, and proceed in a beautiful procession down the main street of the town settlement to lay flowers at the memorial complex.
— Local residents are watching the procession, — says school principal Elena Morozova. — The ceremonial part, according to tradition, is held in the RDC, where parents, teachers, and everyone interested gather. Representatives of the district executive committee and the education department are present in the hall.
Then the children go to their home school, where a festive disco and entertainment program are organized for them. Next is a joint sunrise meeting with teachers and parents. This year, there are 24 graduates at the Rossonskaya Secondary School.
— Everyone may have different preferences regarding the prom, and families have different income levels, — explains Elena Morozova. — Therefore, we came up with a budget-friendly option that would suit everyone. A buffet was organized in the school cafeteria, which looks perfect: it was капитально отремонтирована in 2022. We decorated a photo zone ourselves. Parents decided to invite an outside professional as the host.
This will be the concluding chord with games, memories, and wishes. Parents and teachers will share the festive mood with the children.
