Without respect and love for children, one cannot become a great educator - Natalya Kochanova
"I am convinced that teaching is a calling. When a young person has not only a desire to become a teacher but also a love for children, then a great teacher will emerge. Of course, professionalism is an important component, but if there is no love and respect, children feel it immediately, and it is unlikely that such a teacher will remain in their memory forever," said Natalya Kochanova. - The teaching profession involves working with young people, and today they are well-versed in technology, absorb a large amount of information, and a teacher must meet modern requirements. Wisdom, fairness, education, honesty, and devotion to the country are the main qualities of a teacher."
The Head of the Presidential Administration noted that being present on September 1st at one's alma mater adds to the excitement. After all, Natalya Kochanova's brothers and children studied within the walls of the current Gymnasium No. 1 in Polotsk. "We meet with classmates and teachers every year, and the older you get, the brighter and sharper the memories of school become. After all, school is our life," she added.
Natalya Kochanova presented the gymnasium with an interactive panel as a gift, and the Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, Nikolai Shevchuk, presented a certificate for the purchase of a computer class. The Head of the Presidential Administration also handed over books "Belarus - Our Motherland" as a gift from the Head of State to first-graders.
During her visit, she walked through the corridors of her alma mater (which was then Secondary School No. 7). She entered the classroom where she studied. The гимназисты gave a tour of the educational institution, talked about the natives of Polotsk who brought glory to Belarus. Natalya Kochanova met with her teachers. In an informal atmosphere, she
thanked them for instilling the ability to learn and love for Belarus.
