Representatives of business circles from 20 countries will take part in the economic forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region", which will open in Vitebsk on March 19, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Konstantin Cherny told a BELTA correspondent. Diplomats and businessmen from Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, China, Iran, Vietnam, India, and other countries will get acquainted with more than 100 investment proposals that the region's enterprises intend to implement. Forum participants will also be provided with information on the legislative framework of Belarus, which promotes and supports business development in small towns and in the "Vitebsk" free economic zone. On the second day of the forum, potential investors are expected to get acquainted with existing joint and foreign enterprises in Vitebsk and visit sites designated for the implementation of investment projects in the field of tourism and trade. Projects for the creation of modern production facilities for the manufacture of building materials from local raw materials and secondary resources, wood processing, the development of tourism infrastructure, and roadside service facilities will be presented to foreign businessmen. -0-
