Businessmen from Łódź intend to implement three joint projects in the Vitebsk region

Three agreements on joint implementation of investment projects were signed today between enterprises of the Vitebsk region and businessmen from the Lodz Voivodeship (Poland), Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Oleg Matskevich told a BELTA correspondent. In particular, investors showed interest in implementing projects for the production of pellets from straw and peat. Moreover, the proposal to create a joint venture for the production of fuel from plant raw materials came from Polish businessmen. The business project for the construction of a plant for the production of peat pellets, developed in accordance with the state program "Peat", also attracted the attention of Lodz entrepreneurs, they intend to study the economic calculations presented by the Belarusian side. The third agreement provides for the construction of a hypermarket in Vitebsk. It is possible that it will be named "Lodz". The regional executive committee does not yet name the estimated amount of the signed contracts, however, Oleg Matskevich is confident that these projects will begin to be implemented in the near future.
