Businessmen from Łódź propose to create small enterprises for the production of knitwear in the Vitebsk region

March 19, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Polish businessmen are interested in establishing joint ventures for the production of light industry products. Representatives of the business circles of the Łódź Voivodeship brought business proposals to the international business forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region," Janusz Baranowski, Head of the Entrepreneurship Department and Head of the delegation, told a BELTA correspondent. Polish businessmen are ready to implement projects for the production of knitwear and hosiery. Upon completion of the forum, they will familiarize themselves with the production base of the open joint-stock company "KIM" in Vitebsk and the Orsha enterprise "Dynamo-program". In addition, businessmen were attracted by proposals from entrepreneurs from small towns in the region to create woodworking enterprises. As Valentin Tsvetkov, Head of the Department for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Consumer Market of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, noted in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent, business contacts between Lodz and Vitebsk businessmen were established after business forums held in Poland at the end of last year. In his opinion, the arrival of enterprise owners from Poland and their interest in specific enterprises indicate a firm intention to develop economic ties with Belarus. -0-
