Charity photo project "Family Values" launches in Vitebsk
The "Family Values" project, featuring a charity event for a children's home, will be organized by Vitebsk photographers on the eve of International Women's Day, organizers reported.
The exhibition, dedicated to the multifaceted world of family, will open on March 7 at the Art Space (Tolstoy St., 7). "Each of us perceives the word 'family' in our own way, but everyone knows that family is the people with whom we share our lives, creating our history with its values and traditions together. I think visitors will not so much see this as feel it. Most of the works were chosen by the project participants from their archives, as many in our Vitebsk photography community specialize in family photography. However, these are not standard souvenir snapshots, but works with artistic content and semantic meaning," explained the project curator, famous Vitebsk photographer Alexey Karasev. In addition to himself, 15 other people are participating in the project. The exhibition will run for at least a month. And throughout this entire period, the accompanying charity event "Let's Help the Children from the Baby House" will continue.
"There will be a donation box in the exhibition hall, and each visitor will also be able to purchase a personalized certificate for a photo session with any of the exhibition participants at a 20% discount. The amounts collected from sales will be transferred by the photographers to the account of the Vitebsk Children's Home," said Alexey Karasev.
