More than 1,000 artists will be involved in the events of the Day of Writing in Glubokoye

August 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. More than 1,000 artists will be involved in the events of the Day of Belarusian Written Language in Glubokoye, the Glubokoye District Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Artists from professional and amateur creative groups of the Glubokoye district and the Vitebsk region will be involved in all cultural events that will take place during the holiday on September 1-2 in Glubokoye. The largest number of bright and memorable events with their direct participation will take place on September 2. On this day, numerous thematic farmsteads and tracts will be set up on all main streets and concert venues of the city. For example, Lenina Street will turn into Algirdas Tract. Algirdas, local magnates Korsak and Zenovich, and representatives of the Glubokoye, Polotsk, and Smolensk posads will greet the numerous guests of the holiday there. They will talk about the history of their native lands and invite guests to participate in a knightly tournament and traditional noble amusements. In the "Brigantina" children's town near Lake Kagalnoye, a holiday for the youngest residents of Glubokoye, "Growing Up with a Book," will be held. It will allow children to reveal their creative abilities in a chalk drawing contest, demonstrate their knowledge of Glubokoye in an intellectual tournament, and introduce their favorite authors' works in the "Voice of Soul and Heart" literary lounge. At the "On the Halt" farmstead, everyone will be able to taste soldiers' porridge and listen to songs of the war years. The "Shchodrytsa" tracts with the participation of the rural councils of the Glubokoye district, the tourist, sports, and national cultures tracts, the theatrical farmstead "On the Bench with Uncle Ignat," and the "From Fire to Feather" tract will attract guests' attention with their special flavor. The latter will introduce the development of writing from the primitive communal system to the present day and ancient methods of fire-making. A children's publishing house "From the Past to the Future" and a book copying workshop will also operate here. The rich program of farmsteads and tracts includes a number of interesting projects that will surely find their audience and leave many pleasant impressions, the district executive committee emphasized.
