More than 1,000 students from the Vitebsk region passed the readiness exam for the third working semester today

More than 1,000 students from the Vitebsk region passed the readiness exam for the third labor semester today, a BELTA correspondent was informed by the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM. The venues for this unique exam for students and pupils were children's playgrounds in courtyards, parks of cities and district centers of the region. A total of 29 different sites were involved in the work. Young men and women painted playground equipment and agitation sites, cleaned up trash, installed sandboxes and benches, and created new flower beds. Thanks to the work of the BRSM district committees and public utilities in Postavy and Rossony, new playgrounds for children have appeared. In Miory, on Dzerzhinsky Street, a labor brigade worked on the reconstruction of a sports ground; at a similar facility in Orsha, a combined detachment of students and working youth worked on the Sports Alley near Children's Home No. 1, and then treated its pupils to a sweet surprise – honey. In the regional center, young people worked on agitation sites, whitewashed trees and curbs, planted flower beds, repaired benches, painted swings, horizontal bars, slides, and cleaned up the adjacent territory. All work was carried out by activists of the youth organization free of charge. Fighters, commanders of student teams, and volunteers of the BRSM "Kind Heart" movement proposed to start the labor semester with concrete and useful deeds instead of festive concerts and rallies, the committee noted. -0-
