– 13 educational institutions have been identified, which will be renovated by the autumn of next year. Four of them are primary ones. These are schools No. 27, 28, 31, and kindergarten No. 36. Also, large projects include the new school No. 47 in the Bilevo microdistrict and Gymnasium No. 2, near which a modern stadium with an artificial turf, sports grounds, and playgrounds will be built, – says Igor Kiryutenko. – 93 thousand rubles have already been allocated for design and survey work. Contracting organizations have been identified. Construction has been underway at most sites since October. I want to note that, despite the large scope of work, the safety of students and sanitary and hygienic standards during the educational process are our priority.
Gymnasium No. 1, Secondary Schools No. 27, 28, 31 will also be equipped with modern outdoor sports complexes-stadiums next year. They will feature not only football, basketball, and volleyball courts, exercise equipment, but also play areas for extended day groups and traffic safety classes.
The amounts allocated from the budget for construction work are significant. For example, at Secondary School No. 27, it is planned to replace the roof and windows, renovate the facade, and update utilities. Two buildings of Secondary School No. 28, which celebrated its half-century anniversary a few years ago, will undergo major repairs with the replacement of engineering systems. The exterior will be updated, the territory will be landscaped, and the swimming pool of Secondary School No. 31 will be completely modernized.
New outdoor playground complexes will appear in kindergarten No. 36. In addition, each of the listed educational institutions will be equipped with modern technical and electronic learning tools for approximately 1 million rubles each.
– Thanks to significant financial investments, the material and technical base of a number of educational institutions in the city will be strengthened for "Dazhynki", and the number of modern sports grounds will increase, – noted Igor Kiryutenko. – Thus, the city's education system will fully meet modern requirements.
The renovation of schools and kindergartens in Vitebsk is far from the only large-scale projects timed to coincide with the regional "Dazhynki". The task is to complete the reconstruction of the "Polotsky" overpass, build an underpass at the intersection of Petrus Brovka Street and Stroiteley Avenue, a waste sorting plant, improve the central streets, and a number of other facilities.
