More than 100 people took part in the regional military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa. Northern Region".
– Today we are on the parade ground of the renowned 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade. And even the windy weather at the regional military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa. Northern Region" creates an atmosphere of the airborne forces. Perhaps, in the future, some of the young men and women will link their professional path with the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, or will come to serve in the 103rd brigade, – noted Vyacheslav Khrol, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee. – It is also worth noting that this year is significant for us. It is the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the Republic of Afghanistan, and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. Already on May 1, the regional event "Victory Breakthrough" will take place on the Ushachi land and will take us back to the events of 1944, when partisans broke through the enemy blockade and saved a large number of civilians. Therefore, we want to wish the participants of the game to always remain patriots of their country.
After the drill on the parade ground, young men and women from 20 teams will compete in grenade throwing for accuracy, a 1000m run, and pull-ups. Competitions in disassembling and assembling a Kalashnikov rifle, providing first aid to a "victim", transporting a "wounded" person, and others will be spectacular.
Andrei Romanov came to try his hand for the first time as part of the Polotsk team.
– Our team includes seven guys from the agricultural technical college and the Vetrino Secondary School named after D. Tyabut of the Polotsk district. During the preparation for the game, we managed to improve our drill training, physical strength, tried shooting, assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov rifle, – said Andrey Romanov. – We are serious, so we came for victory and to get charged with positivity.
The game is organized by the regional committee of the BRSM with the support of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, the main department of education of the regional executive committee, the main department of healthcare of the regional executive committee, the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade, and the Vitebsk Regional Organizational Structure of DOSAAF.
