More than 100 foreign economic activity participants will gather at the seminar "Belarus – a Transit Country" in Vitebsk

Representatives of more than 100 business entities of the Vitebsk region will gather on March 25 in the regional center for the seminar "Belarus - a transit country. New in customs legislation" for foreign economic activity participants, BELTA was informed by the Vitebsk customs. The main theme of the event will be the measures taken by the customs service to increase the transit attractiveness of Belarus and reduce the time for customs clearance of goods. Specialists of enterprises and organizations, including carriers and residents of the FEZ "Vitebsk", will receive information about the conditions for obtaining the status of "Conscientious participant in foreign economic activity", and the advantages of preliminary information and electronic declaration of goods. Vitebsk customs has joined the republican experiment on electronic declaration, which already includes OJSC "Kramzit Gravel Plant of Novolukoml" and RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill". Communication between the business entity and the customs inspector takes place exclusively through electronic communication, with messages certified by an electronic digital signature. As a result, the customs declaration processing takes about 10 minutes. In addition, priority areas in the customs' work are the improvement and simplification of customs clearance and control procedures, and assistance to domestic producers in carrying out export operations. For this purpose, separate workplaces for the clearance of export goods provided by domestic producers have been created at the customs clearance points "Vitebsk - Central", "Orsha - Beltamozhservice", "Orsha - Vostochnaya" and "Vitebsk". At the seminar, customs officers will talk about ways to reduce financial costs for foreign economic activity participants and will review typical mistakes made during customs clearance.
