More than 15 working professions will be offered to student workers in the Vitebsk region by summer
Today, in three cities of the region – Vitebsk, Orsha, and Lepel – young people will be able to learn from BRSM representatives about what jobs they can get this summer and where they can work to supplement their budget and benefit the country. Young men and women will be invited to leave applications by filling out forms with their preferences and contacts, as well as indicating which student squad they would like to join.
Also today, young people will have a meeting with labor detachments who have already completed their work assignments and can share their experiences and various nuances. From 11:00 AM at the Orsha College of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, from 2:00 PM at the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and from 2:45 PM at the Lepel State Agrarian-Technical College, meetings, open dialogues, and concert programs will be held. Pupils and students will be able to visit interactive platforms, exhibition presentations, master classes, as well as congratulate student squads on their 60th anniversary and get acquainted with an exhibition of past achievements.
"This promotional project will be primarily useful for newcomers – students of secondary vocational and higher education institutions who have not previously participated in the student team movement. For those who have already reached the age of 18, we will offer three-month courses in more than 15 working professions. By summer, each of them will have a specialist certificate with a certain qualification, so they can be entrusted with different jobs than if they were working part-time as students, and accordingly, they will have a different labor remuneration. In addition to an in-person meeting with us, future student team members can use a chatbot, scan a QR code, and fill out an application form electronically. In general, we started this application process at the end of 2022, and since then, over 4,000 young people from our region have used the chatbot. In the near future, we will be compiling lists of those wishing to take the 3-month courses. The events of the promotional project "Choosing a Student Team" will be held in all district centers of the region until June, but those who wish to obtain an additional profession by the beginning of the working summer need to decide now, as the courses start in March," said Zhanna Naritsyna.
