More than 150 at-risk teenagers from the Vitebsk region will compete in strength and agility

The regional sports competition involving at-risk teenagers will be held on September 28 in the village of Farinovo, Polotsk district, the head of the youth affairs department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Valery Kunashko, told a BELTA correspondent. The event will take place at the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment. More than 150 teenagers aged 13-15 will participate, representing teams from all regions of the oblast, except for the Miory district. Participants will have to demonstrate their strength, agility, and skill in a 100m race, tug-of-war, relay race, and a sports and practical all-around competition. Winners will be determined based on the overall results, as well as in individual disciplines. The sports competition is held with the aim of involving at-risk teenagers in systematic sports and physical activities, and fostering civic responsibility and patriotism in them. The organizers are the youth affairs department and the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the regional committee of BRSM. -0-
