More than 2,000 people found employment at new enterprises and production facilities in Vitebsk in 2017

In Vitebsk, 2,275 people found jobs at new enterprises and productions in 2017. This was reported by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.

The largest number of jobs was created at the shoe enterprise "Belwest", where 120 people were employed in its production facilities. About 100 new vacancies were filled at CJSC "Internet-shop "Euroopt", 85 people found jobs at LLC "Modern-Expo". Several dozen jobs were created at OJSC "Vesta" and "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant", as well as at LLC "PanakumsGroup", "Grand-partner", "Polyshelk", "LACIT - Laboratory of Digital Technologies", "Arena-pizza", at the private enterprise "AltezaGrand", etc. Regarding the overall labor market situation, at the beginning of the year, 1,117 unemployed people were registered in the city.

In turn, employers provided the employment service with information on 1,154 vacant positions. The labor market is focused on blue-collar professions, which account for about 70% of the total number of vacancies. In the regional center, there is still demand for salespersons, seamstresses, shoe assemblers, repair fitters, electricians, drivers, and masons.

Nurses, doctors, and engineers of various specializations are required. At the same time, the least in-demand professions in the Vitebsk labor market are office clerks, HR inspectors, secretaries, process engineers, elevator operators, teachers, economists, and lawyers.
