More than 250 young ecologists will gather for the festival "Ecology is Everyone's Concern" in Vitebsk

More than 250 students from schools and extracurricular centers from all districts will take part in the regional ecological festival "Ecology is everyone's concern," which will be held on April 14-15 in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the ecological center of the regional association for extracurricular work with children and adolescents. The main goals of the festival are to foster a sense of responsibility for the state of the environment among young people, to expand and promote environmental knowledge among the younger generation, as well as to cultivate morality and understanding of environmental issues through theatrical art. 25 creative teams from the region, who became winners of district ecological forums, will gather in Vitebsk. The festival will be held in three nominations. Eco-theaters will present stage productions on environmental themes to the audience. Young ecologists in agitation brigades will raise local issues of nature conservation and environmental protection in their performances. And participants of floristic theaters will demonstrate their developed clothing collections, which use dried and live plants, as well as various natural materials for decoration. The jury members will have to evaluate not only the quality of the teams' exploration of the theme and the acting skills of the young ecologists, but also to determine the best directorial work, their musical and artistic design. Based on the results of the festival, winners and prize-winners will be awarded diplomas and certificates. The best ecological teams will have the right to represent the Vitebsk region at the republican ecological forum. The event is organized by the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the regional association for extracurricular work with children and adolescents. -0-
