More than 250 creative students from the Vitebsk region gathered for the gala concert of the review competition "ART-vacations – 2021"
The festival is an anticipated, vibrant, and significant event in the lives of young people. For many years, it has united the creative potential of vocational education students of the Vitebsk region and brought it to the masses. More than 2,000 young men and women took part in the zonal rounds of the festival. The young people presented their creativity in various nominations: choral art, choreographic and theatrical creativity, instrumental music, and vocals.
As noted by Dmitry Khoma, head of the main department for education of the regional executive committee, more than 30 educational institutions took part in the traditional competition this year. Qualifying stages ran from October. As a result, 6 of the brightest programs were selected, and diplomas of prize-winners were awarded to 44 participants and collectives.
– A whole set of various nominations allowed the students to demonstrate their creative abilities: from reciting poetry to modern dances, – stated Dmitry Leonidovich. – Video recordings of the performances will be sent to the organizing committee of the republican festival. It is in the capital that the jury will determine who among our compatriots will represent the Vitebsk region at the republican stage. By the way, this year the creative marathon will conclude in May in Grodno.
“Youth Choice – Creativity. Traditions. Labor” is this year's festival motto. The search for new creative solutions, preservation of traditions, and diligence are the fundamental ideas behind the creative projects presented to the jury. The heartfelt performance of Belarusian folk songs, expressive recitation of lyrical works, spectacular fashion shows in ornate costumes and headdresses, and energetic dance numbers on stage made one reflect while simultaneously creating a wonderful atmosphere in the hall.
