More than 3 thousand jobs were reserved in the Vitebsk region for vulnerable categories of citizens in 2011
February 3, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Over 3,000 jobs have been reserved in the Vitebsk region in 2011 for citizens with reduced competitiveness in the labor market, the employment department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's labor, employment and social protection committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
People with reduced competitiveness in the labor market include disabled persons, parents in large and single-parent families, ex-convicts, and young people under 21 seeking their first job.
This year, the employment service will pay special attention to disabled persons. At least 300 jobs will be reserved for them. Employers creating jobs for people with disabilities will be compensated for their expenses. It is planned to open 44 jobs for disabled persons, with Br1.2 billion to be allocated for their creation.
In addition, it is planned to employ 50 disabled persons in accordance with the regulations on their adaptation to work activities. This means that, under concluded agreements, employers will be compensated for the costs of paying wages to hired disabled persons, including all taxes, throughout the year. Br260 million will be allocated for these purposes.
In 2010, over 2,500 citizens with reduced competitiveness in the labor market were employed in the region. -0-
