More than 30 participants gathered in Vitebsk for the young artists' competition of the Gazprom corporate festival
The final round of the V corporate festival "Fakel" of OJSC "Gazprom" for young artists has opened in Vitebsk, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The creative event, organized at the Ilya Repin Museum-Estate in Zdravnevo, brought together 33 participants aged 6 to 12, who arrived in the city on the Dvina River from Moscow, Astrakhan, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Orenburg, Noyabrsk, and other Russian cities. Belarus is represented at the competition by 10-year-old Anastasia Shcherbacevich from Kobrin. Participants will perform in two age categories: children up to 10 years old (inclusive) and children over 10 years old. There are no other restrictions at the competition: children can choose any theme and bring any idea to life, noted the chairman of the jury of the children's competition, artist Petr Reichert.
At the opening ceremony in Zdravnevo, all participants of the competition were welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the interregional trade union organization of OJSC "Gazprom", Yuri Artemyev. "Opening the competition once again, which has been held by the Gazprom trade union for many years, I am convinced that this is a good and very right thing to do," he emphasized, drawing the attention of those present to the fact that the chosen venue for the competition, the estate of Ilya Repin, was not accidental. "We have met in a beautiful place, which one of Russia's most famous and beloved artists chose for his artistic pursuits for a reason. It can be called a significant event for every artist to be able to be here, to see the beauty of nature that the master admired, and to create," said Yuri Artemyev. He wished all contestants fruitful work and also promised that the competition for young artists would be held during the corporate festival of amateur creative groups and performers of subsidiaries and organizations of OJSC "Gazprom" in the future.
The creative plein air will take place in the coming days, and its creative report and award ceremony for the winners will be held on May 18 at the "Vitebsk" concert hall.
