More than 300 school fairs will be held in the Vitebsk region on the eve of the new academic year

More than 300 school fairs will be organized in the Vitebsk region for the new academic year, the trade and services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. It is already possible to purchase school supplies - the necessary goods are available in the region's retail network. "For example, in the Vitebsk department store, suits for boys are presented in more than 35 models, and for girls - in over 40 models," the specialists noted. At the same time, to fully meet the needs of the population, the procurement of clothing resources has been increased by 18% this year, and footwear by 19%. As of July 1, 48% of garment products and about 35% of knitwear and footwear have been received from the agreed volume. An expanded sale of school goods will begin in the region on July 15. Products will be sold at 1.3 thousand retail outlets, where 31 additional jobs are planned to be created. Also, more than 1 thousand corners for first-graders will open in the region's retail network. Expanded fairs and sales with the participation of industrial and trade enterprises of the region will be held on August 18 and 25. The minimum consumer basket for equipping primary school children will cost Br1-1.1 million, and for high school children - Br1.2-1.3 million.
