More than 300 graduates of the Gorodok Agricultural Technical College will be employed in the region's farms

Over 300 specialists for agricultural production are preparing to graduate from the Gorodok State Agrarian-Technical College.

Two-thirds of them will have secondary specialized education: mechanical technicians, electrical technicians, and cooks-salespersons. By the way, this year there were more applications for the first two specialties than graduates.

Currently, young men and women are undergoing internships at agricultural enterprises or in shops and canteens where they will work after passing exams and receiving their diplomas. Like about 100 graduates of the vocational training department – almost machine operators – they are honing the skills acquired during their studies during the sowing campaign.

The preliminary distribution at this college is usually final. Graduates will be sent to almost all districts of the region, including their small homeland, mainly to Gorodok, Vitebsk, Shumilino, Polotsk, and Senno districts. If there are any issues, for example, with housing provision or if an enterprise refuses to hire, there is a reserve for redistribution.

The college director, Vladimir Shitko, is confident that none of the current graduates will be left without their first job, as there are no employment problems this year thanks to the support of the regional executive committee and the regional agro-industrial complex, and partnerships with agricultural enterprises. Several young people from Russia, Minsk and Mogilev regions will go to their hometowns, although they could have found jobs in the Vitebsk region if they wished.
