More than 300 residents of the Vitebsk region have voluntarily reported themselves to the tax authorities for idleness

Now, those who worked less than 183 days last year will be the first to pay the fee for financing state expenditures (the so-called "parasite tax") in the amount of 3.6 million rubles (20 basic units).

Until May 31, it was possible to voluntarily contact the tax inspectorate and fill out the relevant notification, thereby receiving a 10% discount (360 thousand). In the Vitebsk region, 308 people took advantage of this right, which accounted for slightly more than 10% of the total number of such volunteers in the country.

As reported to "Vitebskiye vesti" by the regional tax inspectorate, they will have to transfer almost 900 million rubles to the budget in total, and this must be done by July 1. The largest number of people who independently contacted the tax authorities were in Vitebsk – 102 citizens, who were charged about 290 million rubles for payment, as well as in the Polotsk district – 63 volunteers (175 million), Orsha district – 29 (88 million), Novopolotsk – 47 people (almost 142 million). The tax authorities will identify the rest by analyzing information from various departments and send them the corresponding notices. Such citizens are obliged to pay the fee by November 15.
