More than 330 sales exhibitions will be held in the Vitebsk region in the run-up to the new academic year

More than 330 exhibitions-sales and extended sales will be held in the Vitebsk region in preparation for the new academic year, the trade department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Active preparation of children for school in the region has already begun. 1.3 thousand retail outlets are engaged in the sale of school supplies, where additional jobs have been created specifically for this purpose, and 1170 corners for first-graders have been opened. Mobile and small-scale retail trade has also been organized. Extended school fairs with the participation of industrial and trade enterprises of all forms of ownership will be held in Vitebsk, Orsha, Polotsk, Novopolotsk and all district centers of the region on August 21 and 28. During their holding, children and parents will be able not only to purchase everything necessary, but also to take part in sports and entertainment events, and concert programs. The trade department also noted that this year the minimum cost of equipping children for the new academic year (clothing, footwear, stationery) for primary school students will be Br300-320 thousand, and for high school students - Br480-500 thousand.
