More than 40 indicators will be taken into account when compiling the rating of cities and districts of the Vitebsk region

A rating of cities and districts is being created in the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's organizational and personnel work department informed a BELTA correspondent. At the beginning of the current year, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Kosinets, instructed to develop a system for assessing the socio-economic development of the region's districts and cities and, based on this, to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the local power vertical. A pilot project of the rating has already been submitted for the governor's consideration. The assessment scale includes more than 40 indicators characterizing the economic and financial situation, and the social sphere of an administrative-territorial unit. For example, four criteria have been introduced for a comprehensive assessment of foreign economic activity. The social situation is expected to be assessed based on the state of affairs with offenses and workplace injuries. Work with citizens' appeals and the dynamics of justified complaints are also among the evaluated aspects. It is expected that the rating of the region's cities and districts will be formed quarterly. -0-
