Police in Vitebsk region solved over 40 crimes in 2010 based on calls from citizens

This was announced today at a press conference by the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Naydenko, BELTA correspondent reports. Alexander Naydenko believes that this is an indicator of public trust in police officers. "People call because they are confident that their information will help stop illegal acts, and they will be heard," he stressed. The analysis of the degree of public trust in the police in the Vitebsk region based on the results of the year was over 36%, which is the second result among all regions of the republic. "At the same time, practice shows that this indicator is best formed where the work and interaction of police officers, traffic police, and the security department are well organized, and control over this process is established," the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate stated. -0-
