More than 40,000 fir trees are planned to be sold by the forestry enterprises of Vitebsk PLKHO at New Year's markets
More than 40 thousand trees are planned to be sold by the forestry enterprises of the Vitebsk Regional Production Forestry Association (PLKHO) at New Year's tree markets, the leading engineer for secondary forest use and auxiliary agriculture of the association, Oleg Gritskevich, informed a BELTA correspondent.
The season of tree markets will start in the Vitebsk region on December 20. Mass sales will take place on December 22, 23, 29, and 30. Sales will be carried out in all cities of the region, district centers, agro-towns, and large settlements. In Vitebsk, the network of tree markets includes 19 points covering the entire city, including new housing developments. The largest tree markets will be located on Lenina Street, at the Smolensk and Polotsk markets, and Proletarskaya Square.
Forestry enterprises will offer customers ordinary green fir trees, pines, fir and pine bouquets, and the Glubokskoye forestry enterprise will bring elite blue spruces in tubs, which after the New Year holidays can well wait for spring on the balcony, to then decorate the country houses of citizens.
The cost of the main attribute of the New Year up to 1 m will be Br40 thousand, 1-2 m - Br50 thousand, 2-3 m - Br75 thousand, 3-4 m - Br122 thousand, 4-5 m - Br190 thousand.
Oleg Gritskevich also reminded about the responsibility for illegal tree felling. In order to protect fir plantations, patrols of forests will be conducted in the last decade of December. The raid groups will include employees of forestry enterprises, as well as employees of the traffic police, tax authorities, the regional committee for natural resources and environmental protection, and other interested departments.
